Michael McLaughlin

Michael McLaughlin has a diverse work experience across various industries and roles. Michael currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Operations, Center of Excellence at Ascend Wellness Holdings, where they lead a team of over 120 people across multiple facilities. Michael is responsible for overseeing functions such as extraction manufacturing, quality, construction, continuous improvement, and engineering. Prior to this role, McLaughlin held the position of Senior Vice President of Strategy at the same company, where they worked on new market entry, operational efficiencies, and organizational change. Before joining Ascend Wellness Holdings, they worked at The MENTOR Network as the Director of Government Relations, managing government relations and business strategy across multiple states. McLaughlin also has experience in strategic consulting services, serving as the Head of Strategic Consulting Services at The Novus Group. Michael has also held roles in the political arena, including Deputy Director of New Media for Mike Capuano's U.S. Senate campaign and Chief of Staff for the Office of Boston City Councilor Mark Ciommo.

Michael McLaughlin attended Boston College from 2003 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science and History. Michael later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from MIT Sloan School of Management, between 2020 and 2022.
