Tom Hutton

Tom Hutton is a highly experienced professional in the venture capital and private equity sectors, currently serving as Managing Partner at Thompson Hutton, LLC since January 2000, where the focus is on financial services technologies and information. In addition to this role, Tom is also the Managing Partner at XL Innovate, LLP, a venture capital fund specializing in financial technology and insurance underwriting globally. Tom contributes to Genstar Capital as an Advisory Director and directs investment strategies at Palomar. As Chairman of the Board of Directors for SoFi, Tom has been influential since the company’s inception and has previously held key positions, including Chairman at New Energy Risk and CEO of White Mountains Re. Tom's early career includes serving as CEO of Risk Management Solutions, Inc., where significant growth occurred under his leadership. Tom holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and has degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Economics from Stanford University.
