James Sell

James Sell is currently the General Counsel at AXA International Markets, a position they have held since 2023. Prior to this role, they were the Head of Legal for Corporate and M&A at AXA International and New Markets from 2019 to 2021, and served as Senior Legal Counsel at AXA Group from 2014 to 2019. Earlier in their career, James held senior associate positions at Clifford Chance LLP and Herbert Smith Freehills and worked as an interim General Counsel at Essar Energy PLC. James earned a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of London, followed by a Master of Laws (LLM) with Distinction from the University of Bristol and completed the Legal Practice Course (LPC) with Distinction at the College of Law, Store Street, London.
