Richard Phillips

Richard Phillips is a seasoned legal and governance professional with extensive experience in underwriting governance and performance at AXA since October 2019, currently serving as Senior Principal responsible for the AXA Group Underwriting Governance Framework. Previously, Richard held roles as Senior Legal Counsel at AXA, and as Director at KPMG UK, where expertise encompassed risk management, governance, and corporate legal advisory. Richard's earlier career included positions as a corporate lawyer at Macfarlanes, an Acting General Legal Counsel at Hayfin Capital Management LLP, and a solicitor at Clifford Chance LLP. Richard holds an MA in History from the University of Cambridge, alongside legal qualifications from The University of Law.
