Stephan Wenker

Stephan Wenker has extensive experience in financial accounting and reporting, particularly in the insurance sector. At AXA, from October 2008 to September 2021, Stephan held various key positions, including Leiter Grundsatzfragen Rechnungslegung, Seniorreferent Grundsatzfragen Rechnungslegung, and Interims-Leitung Bilanzierung Mitversicherung, overseeing complex issues related to HGB, IFRS, and Solvency II. Responsibilities included leading projects and managing the operational processing of insurance accounting documents. Additionally, Stephan was in charge of creating IFRS consolidated financial statements and leading an international IFRS Competence Center. Prior experience includes a role at Munich Re and a position at ERGO Group AG. Academic qualifications feature a Diplom in Betriebswirtschaft, specializing in insurance from TH Köln, complemented by an international accountancy program at Bangor University.
