Bassem Saad

Bassem Saad has a diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry. Bassem started their career in 2001 as an Engineer Trainee in the Operation department of Syrian Gas Company. Bassem then joined Conoco Syria DEZ Gas Ltd (CSDGL) as a Control Room Supervisor and later as a Process Engineer Trainee. Saad continued their career as a Process Engineer at Syrian Gas Company, where they were responsible for continuous optimization and troubleshooting of process and production-related issues. Bassem also worked on integrating new projects with existing plants. Saad then joined General Petroleum Corporation GPC as a Process Team Lead, where they coordinated gas projects and activities for various national and service contract oil and gas companies in Syria. In 2014, they became the Technical Manager at Ebla Petroleum Company, where they worked until 2022. Currently, they are the Lead Process Engineer at Axens.

Bassem Saad earned a Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering from Al Baath University from 1996 to 2001. Bassem then obtained another Master's degree in ENEP (Energy and Process) from IFP School (Institut Français du Pétrole) from 2009 to 2010.
