Kent Nickle

Kent Nickle is an experienced aerospace and defense professional with extensive leadership roles in both military and civilian sectors. Currently serving as the Executive Director of Space Research and Development at Astrion since September 2024, and as Executive Director of Rapid Integrated Space Solutions at Axient since October 2018, Kent previously held significant positions in the United States Air Force from 2003 to 2018, including Deputy Director and Senior Materiel Leader for the Launch Systems Enterprise Directorate, Chief of the Space Projects Division, and Director of Operations for the 5th Space Launch Squadron. Kent's academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Military Operational Art and Science from Purdue University and the USAF Air Command and Staff College, respectively.
