Axilum Robotics was founded in 2011 in Strasbourg, France, by a team of leading experts in medical robotics.

The company's goal is to provide researchers and healthcare professionals with robotic solutions to improve technical medical procedures and the management of medical resources.

In 2013, the company launched TMS-Robot, the first CE-marked medical robot, specifically designed to assist researchers and healthcare professionals in implementing transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and improving accuracy and reproducibility.

In 2018, Axilum Robotics strengthened its expertise in medical robotics with the launch of a new robotic platform using collaborative robotics technology. This new platform allows Axilum Robotics to expand its offering with a more affordable and versatile solution.

In 2019, Axilum Robotics became the first robotics company in the world to obtain CE marking and FDA 510(k) clearance for a medical device using a collaborative robotic arm: the TMS-Cobot.

In 2025, the company developed the TUS-Cobot with the TUS-Navigator for transcranial ultrasound.

Axilum Robotics has been ISO 13485 certified for its quality management system since 2013.

The company has customers in 21 countries and is looking to develop partnerships around new applications requiring advanced robotic capabilities.
