Emma Way

Emma Way has a diverse work experience in the editorial and publishing industry. Emma started their career as an Editorial Assistant at Delaware Today in 2015, where they wrote features and assisted with various tasks. In 2016, they joined Baker & Taylor as an Emarketing Specialist, managing newsletters and writing marketing materials. Later that year, they began working at Charlotte Magazine, initially as a Contributing Writer and Fact Checker, and eventually becoming a Senior Editor and Editor-in-Chief. During their time at Charlotte Magazine, Emma managed teams, assigned and edited stories, and led the production of popular packages. In 2020, they joined Axios as the Editor of Axios Charlotte, where they contributed as a reporter and grew the editorial team. Emma also served as the Deputy Managing Editor of Axios Local, leading new product development and expansion. In 2023, Emma became the Associate Director of Editorial Product at Axios, taking on more leadership responsibilities. Throughout their career, Emma has demonstrated their passion for writing, editing, and developing innovative editorial initiatives.

Emma Way obtained a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Washington College, where they studied from 2012 to 2016. Emma also briefly attended Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in 2015. Prior to their college education, Emma Way attended Newark High School from 2008 to 2012.
