Eugene Scott

Eugene Scott is a seasoned political journalist and advisor with extensive experience in media and academia. Currently serving as a Senior Advisor at the Institute of Politics at Harvard Kennedy School since February 2025, Eugene also holds the positions of Host and Senior Politics Reporter at Axios since January 2023. Previous roles include Fellow at the Institute of Politics at Harvard Kennedy School, National Political Reporter for The Washington Post, and Washington Correspondent for CNN. Eugene's journalism career began at The Kansas City Star and included a significant tenure at The Arizona Republic. Academically, Eugene holds a Master of Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media, along with studies at the University of Cape Town.
