John Frank

John Frank is an experienced journalist with a strong focus on political reporting and craft beer writing. Currently serving as the Axios Denver Reporter since February 2021, Frank leads the daily Axios Denver newsletter, shaping local conversations in Colorado. Prior to this role, Frank co-founded The Colorado Sun, where responsibilities included political editing and reporting from July 2018 to February 2021. Previous positions include lead political reporter at The Denver Post and the News & Observer, covering state and national politics, as well as reporting on the craft beer industry. Frank's career also encompasses roles at the Tampa Bay Times and The Post and Courier, where John specialized in Capitol reporting. Frank holds a Master of Arts in Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications from UNC School of Media and Journalism.
