Nicholas D.

Nicholas D. has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Nicholas began their career as a Tournament Coordinator and 1st Asst. Professional at The Ranch Country Club in 2002. In 2005, they worked as a Customer Service Representative and later became the Assistant Customer Service Manager at Tehama, Inc. From 2006 to 2007, they served as a Sales Administrator at the same company.

Starting in 2007, Nicholas held various roles at Gaiam, including Senior Royalty and Contract Analyst and Royalty Analyst. In these positions, they managed and organized contracts, prepared participation statements, and improved departmental processes. Nicholas also produced financial reports and utilized SQL databases for data analysis.

In 2012, Nicholas worked as a Revenue Assurance Analyst at Level 3 Communications, where they created ETL packages and improved audit processes. Nicholas then joined CorePower Yoga as the Director of Business Intelligence, leading a team and utilizing data analytics to provide valuable insights to the company.

At Digital First Media, starting in 2016, Nicholas held roles as a Data Warehouse Engineer and Senior Data Engineer. Nicholas engineered ETL pipelines, utilized AWS services, and implemented cutting-edge technologies for data analytics.

From 2018 to 2019, Nicholas worked as a Senior Data Infrastructure Engineer at AirDNA. Nicholas served as the lead developer and architect, implementing solutions using Python, AWS, and GCP.

In 2019, Nicholas returned to Axios as a Senior Systems Architect, overseeing the infrastructure of a top website. Nicholas then transitioned to Gatsby in 2020, where they served as a Staff Software Engineer and later as the Engineering Manager, Cloud.

Most recently, Nicholas rejoined Axios in 2022 as the Director of Infrastructure Engineering, leading growing teams and serving as a technical expert in infrastructure, SRE, DevOps, and cloud operations.

Throughout their career, Nicholas has demonstrated strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and a commitment to mentorship and professional development.

Nicholas D. attended Colorado State University from 1996 to 2000, majoring in Finance. Nicholas then attended PGCC from 2000 to 2002, studying Professional Golf Management. In terms of certifications, Nicholas obtained the "AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate" certificate from Amazon Web Services in November 2017. In 2014, they obtained the "Google Analytics Platform Principals" certification from Google. Additionally, Nicholas holds the certification for "Scrum Fundamentals Certified" from SCRUMstudy - Accreditation Body for Scrum and Agile.
