Sam Allard

Sam Allard is a seasoned journalist currently serving as a Reporter at Axios since November 2022. With a rich background in journalism, Allard previously worked as a Staff Writer at Cleveland Scene Magazine from January 2013 to December 2022, focusing on feature articles and blogging. Earlier experience includes an Investigative Reporting Fellowship with the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project, where Allard contributed a notable piece on the Kyrgyz mining community, and a role as Book Critic for the Cleveland Plain Dealer, recognized as the youngest critic on staff. Allard has held various editorial and teaching positions, including Editor in Chief at Whiskey Island Magazine and Assistant Director for the MyMedia Program at The Cleveland Foundation.
