Stef Kight

Stef Kight is a Congressional Reporter at Axios since August 2016, specializing in immigration issues and focusing on Senate leadership and campaigns. Previously, Kight worked as a Freelance Writer for NowThis, contributing to the award-winning We The People channel on Snapchat Discover during the 2016 presidential election, and as a Freelance Writer for Veer Magazine. Other roles include Copy Editor for The Mace and Crown Student Newspaper, where project leadership and final edits for published stories were key responsibilities, and Staff Writer at Old Dominion University's student newspaper. Kight also gained experience through internships at Sinclair Communications and Federal News Radio, writing extensively for online platforms. Kight holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English with a journalism emphasis and Spanish from Old Dominion University, earned in 2016.
