James Marcella

James Marcella is an experienced professional in the security technology industry, currently serving as the Director of Industry Associations at Axis Communications, Inc. since January 1996. In this role, Marcella oversees collaboration with industry associations and partners to establish standards and best practices while educating professionals on advancements in security technology. Prior positions include Director of Technical Services, where responsibilities encompassed technical support and business development for the K-12 and higher education markets, and Business Development Manager, focused on developing partnerships with application developers. Marcella's contributions to the industry include leadership roles such as a member of the ASIS Physical Security Council and Chair of the Education Committee for the Security Industry Association, as well as teaching physical security technology as an adjunct professor. Marcella holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Keene State College and is a board-certified Physical Security Professional (PSP).
