Michael Carr

Michael Carr is an experienced insurance executive currently serving as Executive Vice President at AXIS Capital since April 2020. Previously, Michael held the position of EVP, Head of Property at Ethos Specialty Insurance Services LLC from January 2018 to April 2020. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Vice President of the E&S Property Division at Liberty International Underwriters from November 2010 to December 2017, and Vice President of Property at Alterra Capital Services USA LLC from September 2006 to October 2010. Michael also worked as Regional Property Manager at Crum & Forster from May 2003 to September 2006, and as Assistant Vice President - Property at ACE Westchester Specialty Group between July 1995 and May 2003. Michael began a career in property underwriting at AIG from August 1992 to July 1995. Michael holds an MBA in Risk Management and Insurance as well as a degree in Marketing, both from Georgia State University.
