Michael Speedling

Michael Speedling has extensive experience in the actuarial field, currently serving as a member of various working groups at the Casualty Actuarial Society, where contributions include enhancing presentation skills and maintaining professionalism among members. In addition to this role, Michael is the Director of Internal Audit at AXIS Capital and has previously held significant positions such as Actuarial Reserving Manager at XL Catlin and Actuarial Manager at Catlin, overseeing reserving processes for U.S. insurance businesses. Michael has also served as President of the Casualty Actuaries of Southeast (CASE) and worked as an Actuarial Consultant at Ernst & Young. With proficiency in core actuarial services, Michael has a strong background in risk management, loss reserve analysis, and actuarial pricing. Michael holds a Bachelor’s degree in Quantitative Business Analysis from Penn State University.
