Alexia Poulos is an experienced engineer with a strong background in manufacturing and bioprocess engineering. Currently serving as Engineer II in Manufacturing/Processing at Axogen since September 2021, Alexia previously held the position of Engineer I within the same department. Prior experience includes working as a Bioprocess Engineer at Novartis Gene Therapies from July 2020 to September 2021, and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at UF Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering, where Alexia focused on developing biomaterials for encapsulating islet cells in Type I Diabetes research. Additionally, Alexia gained experience as a Process Development R&D Intern at Ology Bioservices, Inc. between May and August 2019. Alexia holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Florida, earned in 2020.
