Nesreen Alsmadi

Nesreen Alsmadi, PhD, is a Staff Engineer II at Axogen since September 2018, with a progression through roles including Sr. Engineer in R&D and Translational/Clinical Scientist. Prior experience includes serving as Adjunct Faculty and Lab Manager at the University of Texas at Dallas from January 2015 to August 2018, where responsibilities encompassed managing research staff, developing operational policies, fabricating microfluidic devices, and conducting interdisciplinary collaborative research. Nesreen's research background is extensive, including a Graduate Research Assistant position at the Laboratory of Regenerative Neurobiology, where a biosynthetic nerve implant was developed, along with significant contributions to sensory-motor assays and biological signal analysis. Earlier research roles at the University of Texas at Arlington and University of Texas involved designing drug delivery systems and characterizing nanoparticles. Nesreen holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from a joint program at UT Arlington and UT Southwestern Medical Center, along with other advanced degrees in the field.
