Trey Smith

Trey Smith has extensive experience in the medical device industry, starting with their role as a Sales & Marketing Intern at Vapotherm in 2006. Trey then joined Absolute Surgical, Inc. in 2003, where they co-led a regional sales team and achieved recognition for exceeding sales targets. In 2007, Trey joined Medtronic Spine & Biologics, initially as a Product Manager for INFUSE Bone Graft and later as a Senior Product Manager for AMPLIFY rhBMP-2 Matrix. Trey played a key role in product launches, FDA presentations, marketing strategies, pricing, clinical data analysis, and customer communication. In 2011, Trey joined CONMED Corporation as a Global Product Manager, overseeing a sports medicine arthroscopic shoulder portfolio. Trey later became a Senior Global Product Manager and then a Group Manager, leading global upstream marketing teams and developing product pipeline and acquisition strategies. Currently, Trey is the Director of Global Brand Management at axogen, where they lead the upstream marketing team in identifying market needs, evaluating business opportunities, and implementing pricing strategies.

Trey Smith received their BE in Biomedical Engineering from Vanderbilt University in 2003. Trey then pursued an MBA in General Management at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business from 2005 to 2007. Prior to their undergraduate studies, they attended Pensacola Catholic High School from 1995 to 1999.
