David Venables

David Venables has a wide range of work experience in the life sciences industry. David is currently the CEO of Laverock Therapeutics and a Non-Executive Director at Axol Bioscience Ltd. In 2021, they also became an Honorary Professor at the University of Edinburgh's College of Medicine & Veterinary Medicine. Prior to this, they were the President of AskBio Europe from 2020-2021, CEO of Synpromics Ltd from 2014-2020, VP-CMC of NightstaRx from 2013-2014, CEO of Anatara Lifesciences Ltd from 2013-2014, Non-Executive Director and CEO of Ark Therapeutics Plc from 2012-2013, and Chief Operating Officer of Intercell USA Inc from 2010-2012.

David Venables received their Honours degree in Microbiology from the University of Surrey in 1990. David then went on to pursue a PhD in Mammalian cell fermentation at the same university, which they completed in 1993.
