Ilya Volkov is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in engineering and product development. Currently serving as Director of Engineering at Axon since October 2021, Ilya previously held significant roles at RingCentral from May 2011 to March 2022, including Director of Engineering and Advisor, where responsibilities encompassed multi-year back-end infrastructure programs and product redesigns. As CTO at Pilotsoft, Ltd. from August 2012 to January 2016, Ilya focused on codeless prototyping systems for mobile and web applications. Ilya's career began at RTC Argus, where, as Engineering Manager from October 2004 to May 2011, growth from a startup to a mature organization was achieved, overseeing the development of distributed systems for telecom solutions. Ilya holds an Engineer's degree in Computer Software Engineering from Saint Petersburg University of Telecommunications and completed further education at the Saint-Petersburg Institute of Consulting Psychology "New Age."
