Sam Burtch

Sam Burtch has a diverse work experience in the field of data science. Starting in 2016, they worked at Hudl as a Support Tech Lead, where they led tech support during the launches of Hudl Sideline and Hudl Assist. They also built KPI dashboards to monitor product performance. In 2018, they interned at Accenture as a Data Science Intern. Then, they joined Electronic Arts (EA) as a Data Scientist, where they built and deployed random forest classification models to detect fraud, developed an anti-cheat deep learning model for Apex Legends, and built an item recommendation deep learning model. They worked at EA until 2021. In 2022, they worked at Pollen as a Data Scientist II, and their current position is Senior Data Scientist at AXS.

Sam Burtch holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Data Science from the University of Denver. This degree was obtained in the period from 2017 to 2018. Prior to this, Sam completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Communication at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from 2011 to 2015. Additionally, Sam has also obtained a certification in Deep Learning Specialization from Coursera in October 2020.
