Fernando Salas

Fernando Salas has extensive experience in the telecommunications industry, with a career at Axtel since January 1999, focusing on fiber optic network evolution. Key projects include developing unbundling local loop copper/fiber optic systems, creating a new business model for an open access network, launching Axtel “Smart Fiber,” and analyzing RFID inventory for FTTH networks. Prior to Axtel, Fernando worked as a Service Engineer at Interclan Ware S.A de C.V from January 1994 to January 1999, where responsibilities included billing and proposal creation for federal government projects and installation of PBXs, LAN switches, and routers. Fernando holds a degree in Electronics and Communications from Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, earned between 1988 and 1994.
