David Sylvan

David Sylvan currently serves as the Chief Strategy, Innovation & Marketing Officer at University Hospitals, a position assumed in October 2023, while also leading UH Ventures as President since August 2015. In these roles, David focuses on innovation, commercialization, and strategic initiatives to enhance operational growth within the health system. Additionally, David holds board positions at Astute Signals, Inc., Ohio Life Sciences, and Southwest General Health Center, among others, and engages with academic institutions as both a member of the Visiting Committee and Executive in Residence at the Weatherhead School of Management. David's educational background includes an EMBA in Finance and Management from the Weatherhead School and a B.Comm in Accounting and Business Law from the University of the Witwatersrand.
