Tuomas B.

Tuomas B. has a long and varied work experience. Starting in 2002, they were the Music Director and Radio Personality at KSDT Radio. In 2004, they were a Summer Intern at Northrop Grumman Corporation, and then returned the following year for another Summer Intern position. In 2006, they worked as a Laboratory Technician at the University of Tampere, studying mitochondrial disease and aging. From 2007 to 2010, they were a Lab Manager/Technician at the California Institute of Technology, studying embryonic development in Drosophila melanogaster. From 2010 to 2012, they were a Research Technician at the University of Helsinki, examining the effects of alkaline pretreatments and pectinase on lignocellulosic biomass. In 2012, they were a Project Manager for FutuRadio, a temporary FM radio broadcast in Helsinki and Tampere, Finland. Finally, from 2014 to the present, they have been working at Axure Software Solutions, where they have held the roles of Software Engineer I, Software Engineer III, Quality Assurance Engineer I, Quality Assurance Engineer II, and Senior Product Support Specialist.

Tuomas B. received their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Biology, General from UC San Diego between 2002 and 2006. Tuomas then went on to pursue a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Biotechnology from the University of Helsinki between 2009 and 2011.
