Aaron Cotter has a diverse work experience in various roles and positions. Aaron started their career as a Web Developer/IT Support at Enable Supplies in 2010. After that, they worked as a Software Engineer at Ericsson from 2011 to 2014, where they were responsible for designing and supporting trouble reports and problems on a sub-network management application. Aaron then became a Scrum Master at Ericsson from 2014 to 2015, organizing and participating in the execution of a large-scale product/domain competence transfer. From 2015 to 2016, Aaron worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Ericsson, completing impacts for a core Network Management application related to telecom node technologies. Following that, at Liberty Information Technology, they served as a Senior Software Engineer from 2016 to 2018, primarily working on Liberty's eCommerce offering for existing customers. Most recently, Aaron has been working at Axway since 2018, where they initially served as a Senior Software Contractor and is currently a Principal Software Architect.

From 2007 to 2011, Aaron Cotter attended Munster Technological University, where they obtained an Honours degree in Software Development. In 2014, they also obtained the Oracle Certified Master Java Developer certification. Additionally, Aaron has the Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE 6 Programmer certification.
