Dawn Davis

Dawn Davis has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Dawn started their career at GEICO as a Senior Insurance Agent/ Homeowner's Sales Agent, where they gained expertise in underwriting and risk determination. Dawn also trained and mentored co-workers and provided customer support.

After leaving GEICO, Dawn worked at VirMedice as a Product Manager, where they coordinated multiple software releases and managed product development and enhancement. Dawn collaborated with clients and internal teams to identify and implement solutions for revisions and documentation improvements.

Dawn then transitioned into a Technical Writer role at OAISYS, where they designed, created, and maintained technical documentation and helped reduce errors and bugs by conducting QA testing. Dawn also implemented a corporate style guide and document repository to improve consistency and accessibility.

Dawn further expanded their technical writing skills at Contractor Management Services (now Openforce), where they created and maintained technical documentation, collaborated with sales and executive teams for marketing collateral, and participated in agile teams for user stories and release notes.

Dawn continued their career at Openforce as a Marketing Operations & Social Media Specialist, where they collaborated with graphic designers, oversaw inbound marketing campaigns, and implemented strategies to improve sales and marketing efficiencies.

Dawn then joined GlobalMed Telemedicine as a Product Coordinator, responsible for developing documentation, administering Atlassian tools, and ensuring adherence to quality standards and release management.

Dawn's next role was at REPAY - Realtime Electronic Payments as a Technical Product Owner, where they worked closely with architects to align product vision and strategy with company goals. Dawn represented the customer in development initiatives and provided customer service to technology and business partners.

Currently, Dawn is working as Principal Product Owner at Axway, where they likely continues to leverage their skills in product management and ownership to drive successful product development and implementation.

Dawn Davis, CSPO®, has a Master's degree in Literacy, Technology & Professional Writing from Northern Arizona University, which they obtained from 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Multimedia Writing & Technical Communication from Arizona State University from 2007 to 2008. In addition to their academic qualifications, Dawn also holds additional certifications such as the Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®) from Scrum Alliance® in June 2019 and the Inbound Marketing Certification from HubSpot in May 2017.
