Hao Peng has extensive work experience as a Senior Research Data Scientist at Ayata since July 2021. Prior to this, Hao worked as a Senior Geophysicist and Data Scientist at CGG for eight years, from September 2012 to May 2020. In this role, Hao developed machine learning techniques for 3D seismic image processing, wrote Python scripts for data extraction and transformation, and designed and implemented ocean-bottom receiver position and timing correction procedures. Before joining CGG, Hao worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Columbia University from September 2005 to August 2012. During this time, Hao was responsible for the RHQ project in the lattice collaboration, developed C/C++ codes for implementing heavy quark interactions, and utilized statistical methods for data analysis.
Hao Peng completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Physics at the University of Science and Technology of China from 2001 to 2005. Hao then pursued further education at Columbia University, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics from 2005 to 2012.
