Jonathan Memel

Jonathan M. is a Senior Manager at Ayming, leading the UK grants practice since June 2023. With experience as an Assessor for UK Research and Innovation and as a Senior Lecturer at Bishop Grosseteste University, where the department achieved 100% student satisfaction in the NSS for 2021 and 2022, Jonathan has contributed to grant funding strategies as a member of the Research and Knowledge Exchange Committee. Previous roles include Grant Writer positions at Grantify UK and GrantTree, Innovate UK Grant Writer, Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Nottingham on an £850k UKRI-funded project, and Research Grant Writer at The University of Manchester, which was ranked 2nd in the UK for research grants in 2016/2017. Jonathan also worked as a Summer Analyst at Currys plc and served as Teaching Faculty at the University of Virginia. Educational credentials include a PhD from the University of Exeter, and an MA (Hons) from The University of Edinburgh, supplemented by international academic experiences. Jonathan is also the author of a prize-winning book recognized by the People's Book Prize in 2022.
