Lukas Barnard

Lukas Barnard has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Their most recent position is as the Chief Technology and Information Officer (CTIO) at aYo Holdings, where they are responsible for strategy development, project delivery, compliance, and vendor management. Prior to this, Lukas worked as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Ithala SOC Limited, where they revamped the IT team and implemented efficient processes for project delivery. Lukas has also worked as an independent IT executive advisor, overseeing various projects. Lukas has held executive positions at Edcon, Barclays, Nedbank, and Absa, specializing in architecture, solution design, and managing IT teams. Lukas began their career as an IT manager at FMI and later served as a branch manager at Datatec Limited. Overall, Lukas Barnard brings extensive expertise in IT leadership and strategic planning in the banking and financial services industry.

Lukas Barnard attended North-West University / Noordwes-Universiteit from 1988 to 1992. During this time, they pursued a BSc Honns degree in Maths and Computer Science.
