An-Sofie Decavele

An-Sofie Decavele is a highly experienced clinical biologist with a professional background spanning over a decade. Since January 2019, An-Sofie has been contributing to AZ Delta as a clinical biologist, while also holding a similar position at Sint-Andriesziekenhuis since September 2013. Previous roles include positions at Sint-Vincentiusziekenhuis Deinze and UZ Gent, where An-Sofie specialized in areas such as hematology, coagulation, autoimmunity, clinical chemistry, and toxicology. An-Sofie started the clinical biology career with ASO positions at Algemeen Stedelijk Ziekenhuis Aalst and AZ Maria Middelares. An-Sofie holds a Master's degree in Clinical Biology and a Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Ghent University, along with a postgraduate qualification in Quality Assurance from KU Leuven.
