Chris Brown

Chris Brown has extensive experience in public sector audit and finance, currently serving as the UK Head of Public Sector Audit at Azets since May 2004. In this role, Chris leads the Public Sector Audit team, delivering services to various sectors including local government and education across the UK. Previous positions include Regional Managing Partner and Partner, providing external audit, internal audit, and advisory services in Scotland. Additionally, Chris held a part-time secondment as Interim Director of Finance and Funding at the Scottish Funding Council from November 2021 to April 2022, and progressed from trainee to Senior Manager in the Public Sector Audit Team at Scott-Moncrieff from April 1995 to May 2004. Early career experience includes working as an Internal Auditor at Lothian Health Board from June 1993 to April 1995. Chris holds a BSc in Accountancy from Heriot-Watt University.
