Ray Abercromby

Ray Abercromby is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in tax management and corporate restructuring. Currently serving as a Partner at Azets since July 2021, Ray focuses on tax management and wealth maximization for entrepreneurs. Prior to this, Ray held the position of Partner at Smith & Williamson from 2007 to June 2021, where a national specialist corporate restructuring team was created and numerous restructuring projects were successfully executed. Ray's career also includes directorship at Abercromby Wines Limited and a role as Senior Lecturer at Liverpool John Moores University, specializing in taxation and corporate finance, along with serving as a national tax examiner for ACCA and CIPFA. Earlier experience as Senior Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers involved leading the technology team in the North West, enhancing expertise in fast-growth companies with a focus on intellectual property and technology. Ray holds a B.Sc. in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Glasgow.
