Ian MacSpadden has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of technology and media. Ian has held positions such as Chief Technology Officer at Arizona Public Media, where they led efforts in building a diverse team of technology professionals and oversaw the organization's ATSC3, digital radio & TV content distribution, and 4K production initiatives. Ian also played a key role in designing and building their new broadcast and production facility and led the FCC renewal efforts for their radio and TV station licenses.

Additionally, Ian has worked as a Studio Operations Manager at YouTube Space NYC, directing a contract team of engineering and production professionals and overseeing the operational procedures and workflows of the production space.

Ian MacSpadden completed their Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Management with a minor in Computer Science from ASU's Engineering College and Walter Cronkite School in the years 1987 to 1989. Prior to that, they participated in the Architecture Program - BSE Program (computer science) at UT El Paso and the University of Houston from 1984 to 1987. In terms of certifications, they obtained the FCC General Class radio license from the FCC in July 1989.
