Mahlet Getachew

Mahlet Getachew is a Standards Advisory Council Member at B Lab. Mahlet was previously with PolicyLink, Aim High, and Suki. From November 2018 to October 2020, they served as General Counsel, Head of HR & Business Operations at Suki. From April 2015 to October 2018, they were Associate General Counsel & Assistant Secretary at GoPro. From April 2012 to March 2015, they were Corporate Counsel – Mergers & Acquisitions at Cadence Design Systems, where they negotiated, managed and closed over $700 million in domestic and international mergers and acquisitions.

Mahlet Getachew attended the University of Virginia School of Law, where they received their J.D. Mahlet also holds a certificate in Chinese Studies from Johns Hopkins University-Nanjing University Center for Chinese and American Studies. Her undergraduate degree is in East Asian Studies from Lewis & Clark College.
