Daniel Fairuz

Daniel completed his first year of Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical at Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL), Malaysia, in 2016. After that year, he continued the rest of his degree programme at the University of Canterbury and graduated from there in 2020. During his studies at the University of Canterbury, he completed his internship twice over two consecutive summer breaks in 2017 and 2018. His first internship was with Petronas Gas Bhd in Kerteh, Malaysia, where he worked in the gas processing plant maintenance department. Daniel’s second internship was with an engineering consulting firm in Kuala Terengganu, Malaysia, where he focused on mechanical building services. During his second internship, he learned about internal cold water supply systems, air conditioning systems, plumbing and sanitary design in buildings. He is enthusiastic about his latter experience in building services. Daniel joined Babbage in 2022 as a graduate and has been supporting senior hydraulic engineers in delivering hydraulics design for Kāinga Ora residential projects as well as retirement villages.
