John Hinde

John manages the procurement of equipment and services for major projects undertaken by Babbage, working closely with the project team to ensure the client gets the right products at the right time and at the right price.

John has extensive experience in project management, tendering and procurement in Britain and New Zealand and brings that expertise to his work with Babbage. He oversees the tender process from the producing the tendering package, pre-qualifying tenderers if required, evaluating tenders and making recommendations, through to preparing contracts and implementing them.

John completed his qualifications in Manchester, came to New Zealand in 1996, and has worked in Auckland, Nelson and Gisborne, covering food processing, managing tenders for industrial equipment and systems, tenders for airport baggage handling and screening, and ship repair. John joined Babbage in 2015.
