Kate Feickert

Kate graduated from the University of Waikato in 2016 with a BSc (Environmental Science), where her studies focused on terrestrial and freshwater ecology, soil science and hydrology, and from the University of Auckland in 2017 with a PGDip in Environmental Science.Kate has worked as an ecologist within both consultancies and local government since 2018 and joined Bioresearches in 2021. During this time, she has worked across a broad range of terrestrial and freshwater ecology projects, with a particular focus on wetland ecology.Kate particularly enjoys botany and identification of wetland and terrestrial plant species.Kate’s experience to date has encompassed assessment of effects, botanical surveys, wetland assessments, and surveys of fauna, primarily bats and lizards. Kate has also undertaken scientific review projects, long term monitoring, and research projects.
