Lynaire is a key point of contact for contractors working on Babbage projects run from the Hamilton office and helps build and maintain the relationships that are essential to successful projects. Lynaire says the relationships are built on trust, but she is the gatekeeper for the client’s spending and all claims and variations are coordinated with on-site engineers.
Lynaire qualified as a chartered accountant in 1987 and worked accounting roles in Hamilton, then for two years in London before returning to Waikato. She joined Babbage in 2000 and her role supports the project finance manager. Her work includes ensuring contractual requirements such as performance bonds, insurance and health and safety plans are met and progress payments are verified and made on time. She works on the payment detail including variation claim reviews and provisional cost sums.
