Eric Goldstein has a diverse work experience in software engineering and leadership roles. Eric started their career in 2010 as a Senior Software Engineer at Elephant Ventures, where they worked until 2013. During this time, they reverse-engineered an e-commerce platform for Pitney Bowes and designed a shopping cart website using PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL.
In 2013, Eric worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Moveline, where they created a data-bound user interface using AngularJS and RESTful endpoints. Eric also added RESTful endpoints in Node.js and wrote front- and back-end unit tests.
From 2013 to 2014, Eric worked as a Software Architect at Business Insider, where they fully re-architected the company's highest income-generating platforms, including ads and video. Eric also played a key role in prototyping and launching the Continuous Delivery platform.
In 2015, Eric joined uShip as a Senior Software Engineer, where they led the development of the company's Help Center and rebuilt the shipment management system using React and REST APIs. Eric also co-led discussions on infrastructure migration and was a member of front-end, API, and security guilds.
Later in 2015, Eric worked as a Senior Software Engineer at projekt202 and a Major International Airline. Eric was involved in building custom internal sites, improving UX/UI, and evangelizing technology improvements.
From 2016 to 2017, Eric worked as a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer at Call-Em-All. Eric refactored and improved the codebase to follow design patterns, mentored junior team members, and designed the company-wide WebSocket server architecture.
Since 2017, Eric has been with Babbel, where they initially served as a VP of Engineering, US & Engineering Manager. Currently, they hold the position of Principal Engineer.
Throughout their career, Eric has demonstrated expertise in a wide range of technologies, including React, Redux, JavaScript, AngularJS, Node.js, and various web development tools and frameworks.
Eric Goldstein attended Columbia Engineering from 2001 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Engineering.
