Tom Drake

Tom Drake has over 27 years of work experience. Tom began their career in 1993 as a Consultant at Hewlett-Packard. In 2000, they became a Team Lead/Staff Engineer, Integration Services Development at Turnstone Inc. where they managed the development team responsible for building a turnkey management application and API's for the companies DSL copper loop diagnostic equipment. Tom enabled fully automated installations and field upgrades, reducing costs to near zero and drastically improving customer goodwill. In 2002, Tom Drake joined Tavant Technologies, Inc. as a Director/Principal Engineer where they developed requirements and designed solutions Java/Tomcat/Mysql based solutions for their advertising related content management and delivery systems. Tom improved end-user productivity through use of workflow design and process automation. In 2006, they moved to TiVo Inc. as a Solutions Architect where they developed and managed product requirements advertising management and provisioning applications working closely with cross-functional teams. Tom devised systems to substantially reduce error rates and increase productivity. In 2010, Tom Drake became the Director, System Architecture/ Principal Engineer at Total Media Networks SA. Here, they designed and built a new Content Management, Delivery, and Entitlement platform with multi-lingual, multi-screen, and multi-tenant capabilities. In 2013, they joined VMware as a Senior Staff Software Engineer where they designed and built REST/HATEOAS integration API's for their cloud management microservices platform. In 2018, they became the Cloud Architect at BabbleLabs, Inc. and, in 2020, they joined Cisco as a Technical Leader.

Tom Drake attended California State University, Northridge from 1978 to 1982, studying Computer Science.
