Mariusz Walania is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in backend development and leadership roles. Currently serving as a Principal Backend Engineer at Backbase since August 2022, Mariusz previously held positions at UBS from July 2014 to June 2022, progressing from Senior Software Developer to Associate Director / Lead Software Developer. Prior experience includes Team Lead Software Development at Sabre Holdings, where responsibilities involved leading an agile team and maintaining identity management systems, as well as developing a high throughput cache engine. Mariusz’s earlier roles include Senior Software Engineer at Volantis Systems, focusing on RSS aggregation engine development, and Programmer at JCommerce, specializing in various Java technologies.
