Matthew van Bockel

Matthew van Bockel is a highly experienced technology architect with a career spanning over 25 years in various leadership and architectural roles within prominent firms. Currently serving as a Senior Domain Architect at Backbase since January 2021, Matthew has held multiple positions including Senior Product Architect and Senior Solutions Architect. Prior to this, experience includes working as a Principal Architect and Senior Solutions Architect at Temenos from December 2018 to January 2021, and extensive roles at Avoka and Itree, where Matthew focused on solutions architecture and technical leadership in specialized projects. Earlier career stages involved positions in IT systems management and architectural drafting with firms such as P.R. Design Co. and Woods Bagot. Matthew holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Wollongong, earned between 2000 and 2002.
