Richard Cassell

Richard Cassell has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Richard is currently a Principal Solution Architect at Backbase since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Vic-Wells Association as a Committee Member, focusing on increasing the association's digital presence. From 2017 to 2022, Richard held multiple roles at Temenos, including Principal Architect, Senior Solution Architect, and Solution Architect, where they provided architectural solutions for banking projects and collaborated with engineering teams. Before that, they worked at Zeal Solutions Ltd as an Applications Developer, BlueZest as a Lead Solution Developer and Senior Developer, and International Risk Partnership as a Software Product Developer. Richard's early career included a role as a Software Developer at Central Computer Management Limited, where they played a key role in launching the innovative 'LivePay' web portal for payroll management.

Richard Cassell completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science from the University of Birmingham between 2004 and 2007. In 2008 and 2009, they obtained a Foundation Diploma in Payroll and Pensions from The Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP). Prior to that, they pursued A Levels in Maths, Systems & Controls, and Computing at Garibaldi College from 2002 to 2004. Additionally, Richard has obtained certifications such as the Red Hat Certified Specialist in Process Automation Management from Red Hat in 2022 and the Transact 5.x Qualified Front End Developer certification from Avoka in 2018.
