Sivashankar Krishnakumar serves as the Senior Technology Director for North America at Backbase since August 2023, previously holding the position of Technical Director (Account Lead) in Customer Success. Prior experience includes a role as Sr. Manager for Digital Banking and Payments at IBM from March 2021 to August 2023, where significant contributions were made as a principal strategist in Banking and Payments initiatives. Prior to IBM, Sivashankar worked at Accenture for seven years as Sr. Manager for Digital Banking and Operations, employing extensive expertise in strategy and technology architecture to assist Fortune 500 clients with digital transformation. As co-founder and CTO of Kairos Systems, Sivashankar played a pivotal role in developing a SaaS platform for higher education, while also serving as co-founder and CTO at Tango Systems, where a cloud-based payment gateway was developed. Additional experience includes a fellowship at The Asia Foundation and roles in project management and engineering at Southern California Edison and Jacobs Engineering. Sivashankar holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Riverside.
