Tarek Mowafy

Tarek Mowafy has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Tarek started their career as a Freelance Web Developer at IBEX Consulting Services LLC in December 2014, where they focused on company website UI redesign and modifications. In July 2014, they joined OTAKU DEV as a Software Developer, working on web and mobile app development projects. At OTAKU DEV, they were part of a team that developed the Triptanza website and Facebook app using the Codigniter MVC framework.

In February 2015, Tarek Mowafy joined Limopedia Corporation as a Mobile Application Developer, where they worked on mobile app development projects until March 2016. Tarek then joined Backbase in April 2016 as a Mobile Consultant, where they provided expertise in mobile development until January 2018.

Tarek Mowafy quickly progressed within Backbase and took on the role of Mobile Chapter Lead from January 2018 to January 2019. Tarek then served as a Principal Mobile Engineer and Mobile Chapter Lead from January 2019 to January 2020. From January 2020 to April 2023, they were promoted to Lead Principal Mobile Engineer and Mobile Chapter Lead at Backbase. Starting from January 2023, they took on the role of Lead Principal Mobile Engineer and CS Expert Services at the company.

Tarek Mowafy earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Modern Academy Maadi, where they studied from 2007 to 2011. Tarek also completed their General Secondary Education at Futures Language School.
