Lead NOC Technician at Backblaze

Lorelei (Lo) Small's work experience began in 2005 as a Popular Culture Library Student Assistant at Bowling Green State University. Lorelei (Lo) then worked as a Student Library Assistant at California State University, East Bay from 2010 to 2013. After that, they served as a Library Assistant at Academy of Art University from 2013 to 2014. From 2014 to 2016, they worked as a Learning Resources Technician II at Ohlone College. In 2016, they were an IT Intern at Ghirardelli Chocolate Company. Lorelei then joined Backblaze in 2017 as a Datacenter Technician, and later worked as a Senior Datacenter Technician before becoming a Systems Administrator / NOC Technician in 2020. Most recently, in 2022, they have been the Lead NOC Technician at Backblaze.

Lorelei (Lo) Small holds a Master of Library & Information Science (MLIS) degree from PennWest Clarion, obtained in 2014. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from California State University - East Bay, which they finished in 2012. In 2015, they obtained a certification in Japanese Language Proficiency Test - N3 Level from The Japan Foundation.
