Ron Astin

Ron Astin has a strong background with diverse roles in the technology industry. Ron most recently worked as a Front End Developer at BackBox starting in 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Technical Co-Founder & CTO of Iwahai, Inc between 2020 and 2021, where they were responsible for developing and executing technical strategies for their Voice Markr application. Additionally, Ron worked at Elemental Technologies from 2013 to 2019, where they held multiple positions including Business Systems Developer and Webmaster & Systems Developer. In these roles, they were responsible for maintenance, support, and development of custom systems, as well as the creation and maintenance of public-facing web properties. Ron also contributed to the growth and security hardening of Elemental during its acquisition by Amazon Web Services. Prior to that, Ron worked as a Software Developer at BlueVolt from 2010 to 2013, where they developed and maintained multiple Drupal portal sites. Ron started their career at Fios, Inc. as a Production Engineer from 2004 to 2009, where they produced electronic discovery deliverables and provided data processing solutions for client needs. Before that, they worked as a Systems Developer at Fred Meyer Jewelers from 2000 to 2004, where they developed and maintained corporate systems. Ron also has experience at Cadence Design Systems as a Developer - CIS Product Team from 1997 to 2000, where they were responsible for database connectivity features and system administration.

Ron Astin attended Ponderosa High School from 1985 to 1989. Ron then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science at Portland State University from 2009 to 2013.
