Sam Merullo

Sam Merullo is an experienced professional in venture capital and private equity investing, currently serving at a Confidential Single Family Office since January 2022. Between January 2020 and present, Sam has worked as a Venture Scout at BACKED VC, focusing on sourcing early and mid-stage ventures across various sectors. As an active Mentor at the Founder Institute since January 2019, Sam engages with aspiring entrepreneurs through talks and sessions. Prior roles include General Manager for Lime in the UK&I, Advisor to MrPink VC, and Founder & CEO of SCOOTFLEET GROUP LIMITED, which was successfully exited in 2019. Sam has also advised at Tough Mudder and led key functions at CCm Technologies. Legal experience includes serving as a Junior Lawyer at Allen & Overy. Sam holds a BA (Hons) from Durham University, a GDL from BPP Law School, and an LPC from The University of Law.
